Those who love tea, consume it all year long. For those who have not yet discovered the beauty of the tea, winter is the right time for it. Enjoy the taste and smell of tea mix of ingredients that we recommend: ginger, turmeric, apple, rose hip, cocoa.
In addition, these tea mixtures are recommended to relieve symptoms of colds and flu.
Turmeric and ginger tea. To prepare 1 cup you need: 1 cup of water, 1/4 teaspoon milled turmeric and minced ginger, a little soy (or cow) milk, honey or maple syrup to taste.
Preparation: Put the water to boil, add the turmeric and ginger, reduce the heat and keep it on the stove for 10 minutes. Add the milk and strain into the cup. Add sugar to taste.
Apple tea, green tea and turmeric. To prepare 4 cups you need: 4 1/2 cups water 1 large apple cut into slices, 2 sticks of cinnamon, 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 5cm piece of ginger, peeled and chopped, 2 teaspoons of organic extra virgin coconut oil, 1/8 teaspoon milled red hot pepper, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 bags of green tea, 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice.
Preparation: Put the water with the sliced apples, cinnamon sticks, turmeric, ginger, coconut oil, pepper and vanilla extract to cook over medium / high heat. Stir. When it starts boiling, reduce the heat and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes. Add the green tea bags and mix all together after 30 minutes. Let it cook over low heat for 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, strain it and add honey and lemon juice. Stir, add more honey if needed, and pour into cups. You can eat the cooked apples and ginger, they are very delicious. Drink the tea while it’s warm.
Green tea with rose hip. To prepare the drink you need: 1-2 cups of water, 1 bag of green tea, 1 lemon, 2 tablespoons rose hip, small amount of cayenne pepper, 1-4 teaspoons of maple syrup.
Preparation: Put the water to boil, add the green tea and rose hip, cover and leave for 8-10 minutes. Strain, add the lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup and serve.
Cocoa tea. To prepare 2 cups you need: 1 cup of coconut milk without sugar, 1 cup of water, 2 bags of black tea, 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon spice mixture for tea.
A mixture of spices for tea: 3 tablespoons cardamom and cinnamon, 4 teaspoons milled cloves, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 2 teaspoons allspice, 4 teaspoon milled pepper. Mix and store in a jar.
Preparation: Place the coconut milk and water to cook. When the mixture boils, remove from heat, place bags of black tea and leave for 4-5 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the cocoa, brown sugar and spices mixture for tea. Remove the tea bags, add cocoa mixture, pour it into a cup and enjoy.
Note: Instead of coconut milk you can use almond milk, and instead of brown sugar try stevia. You can experiment with other kinds of milk and natural sweeteners.
