Beetroot, carrot and apple salad

Who said that salads must always be based on vegetables? Or just fruits? The recipe in front of you will show you that vegetables and fruits (nuts also) can be quite harmonious mix in a very practical and healthy salad. You do not need to have a “high tech” devices, grater and knife is usually enough. Here is something more about the ingredients that are included to see why they are so beneficial.




Beetroot is rich in phytonutrients that have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and participates in the detoxification of the body. It is easy to digest and has a lot of fiber, which is important for good bowel movements and reduces cholesterol.

Carrot is rich in carotenoids and phytonutrients that act against infections of the eyes, throat, tonsils, sinuses, but also prevent cancer. In addition, it strengthens bones, prevents anemia, regulates the level of sugar in the blood and has a beneficial effect on the liver, just like beetroot.

Apple contains vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9 and C and minerals calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. Abundant variety of phytochemicals, primarily phenols and pectin and reduces the risk of various diseases: cancer, colon, prostate and lung cancer, as well as lowering cholesterol.

Walnuts are full of saturated fat, with a maximum of antioxidants (more than hazelnuts, peanuts and almonds), which has a beneficial impact on health (e.g. against arteriosclerosis), and provide energy.


  • 100 g beetroot
  • 150 g apples
  • 100 g carrots
  • 20 g finely chopped walnuts
  • lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • a pinch of fine sea salt

Wash beetroot, apple and carrots, peel, wash again and grate. Pour over the salad with lemon juice and olive oil, a little salt and stir everything. The finished salad, sprinkle with finely chopped nuts.
